The site looks different because this is a new product. Your campaign site, your domain and your price are not part of that change. Here is exactly what is and isn't affected.

If you already pay for 9x12 Tools and you just typed the address in and found a site you don’t recognise, this page is for you. Three answers up front.
Your site is still live
Nothing about your live campaign site changed. Your pages are up, your domain resolves, and anything you have already printed still works.
Nearly every active campaign runs on the operator’s own custom domain, and
custom domains were not affected by this at all. What moved is the marketing
site that sits on 9x12tools.com itself.
You have a choice, and both options are real
The prices on the pricing page are for new workspaces. They are not automatically your price. Here is what actually applies to you.
Stay where you are
The version you have been using keeps running at legacy.9x12tools.com, at the price you pay now, for as long as you want it.
Be clear-eyed about what that means: it will be lightly maintained and feature-locked. It stays online and it stays working. It does not get the lead engine, the integrated checkout, the directory, or anything else built from here on, because that work lands on the new platform.
If your card is selling fine the way it is, that is a legitimate choice and we are not going to pester you about it.
Move across
| What you pay now | What moving costs |
|---|---|
| $97/month or more | Nothing changes. You move at what you already pay, onto the full new platform. |
| Less than $97/month | Make up the difference to $97/month, or take the equivalent annual rate. |
| A custom or bespoke arrangement | None of the above. It is a white-glove conversation — write and it gets picked up personally. |
That $97 is the founding rate. It is locked for as long as the subscription stays active, and it carries the same unlimited-campaign access as the most expensive plan on the pricing page.
Founding is capped at 27 because 27 seats is what lets me build this full time for the next stretch. That is the whole reason for the number. You get the Scale plan at the lowest price we will ever charge, locked for as long as you stay subscribed. I get to keep building this every day, and it gets built for the people sitting in those seats.
A seat you take by moving across counts toward the 27 like anyone else’s. There is one count and one rule, and seats go in the order they are claimed — which is why you are hearing about this before the wider announcement.
If you are paying less than $97 today, moving is a real increase and we are not going to dress it up as anything else. What you get for it is the part the old version never did: an advertiser buying a square and paying for it on your site, a ranked list of who to call generated from your own mail routes, and a directory that builds itself as you sell.
Your sign-in has probably moved
This is the one that trips people up, and it is worth being precise about.
There are now two products:
- The previous version — what you have been using — now lives at legacy.9x12tools.com. It keeps running and it keeps being hosted.
- The new platform at app.9x12tools.com is a ground-up rebuild with a different account system.
The “Sign in” link in this site’s header points at the new platform. If you have been a customer for a while, your account is on the legacy address, and the new one will not recognise your email. That is expected — it is not your account being gone.
What the new version actually is
Not a redesign. A different product, built around the part the old one left you to do by hand: selling the spots and collecting the money.
The short version — an advertiser buys a square on your card and pays on your site, through your own Stripe account, and the square marks itself sold. The platform also finds and ranks the local businesses to call the moment you pick your mail routes, and every spot you sell becomes a permanent page in a directory on your own site.
The full picture is here, and what we got wrong the first time is here.
Moving is optional
If you want to move, it happens one operator at a time, by hand, with your domain carried across and a rollback window if anything looks wrong. Nobody gets migrated by surprise and there is no deadline.
If you would rather stay where you are, that is a supported choice and it stays supported.
Either way, there is a person to talk to about it.
Straight answers
Before you ask.
Still not covered? Ask directly and you will get a reply from a person who runs these campaigns.
Is my campaign site still live?
Yes. Nothing about your live site changed. If your campaign runs on your own custom domain — which nearly every active site does — it was not touched at all by this move.
Do I have to move to the new platform?
No. You can stay exactly where you are. The version you have been using keeps running at legacy.9x12tools.com at the price you pay now. It will be lightly maintained — kept online, kept working — but it is feature-locked, so new work lands on the new platform and not on it.
I pay $97 a month or more. What happens if I move?
You move across at what you already pay. There is nothing to make up and no price change — you land on the founding rate with the full new platform.
I pay less than $97 a month. What happens if I move?
You can move by making up the difference to $97 a month, or by taking the equivalent annual rate. That is the founding rate, it is locked for as long as you stay subscribed, and it carries the same unlimited-campaign access as the top plan. If that is not worth it to you, staying on the legacy version at your current price is a supported choice and stays supported.
I am on a custom or bespoke arrangement. Does any of this apply?
No. Custom plans are handled individually as a white-glove conversation rather than by any of the rules above. Use the Contact link in the footer and it gets picked up personally.
Where do I sign in now?
If you have been a customer for a while, your account is on the previous version, which now lives at legacy.9x12tools.com. The Sign in link in the site header goes to the new platform — a different product with separate accounts. Use the legacy address if the new one does not recognise you.
